Essay Writing - How to Make an Outline and Learn How to Use It

Essay Writing - How to Make an Outline and Learn How to Use ItThe best way to improve a student's essay writing is by having an outline and lesson plan for the student. The outline should consist of several sections; not only the student's subject but also his or her information. Here are five more tips to make sure that your outline and lesson plan work. The first thing you need to consider is the number of pages your outline should contain. When you are working on an outline, you will notice that it has an overall outline with different levels of information. Depending on the type of essay that you want to write, you will need to decide if you want to start with the main point, or start at the middle of the essay. If you want to be able to start at the middle, then you need to consider how many pages are needed in order to do this. This is where an outline comes in. It allows you to know what needs to be included and when. You can use the outline to come up with a general outline of your essay and then work from that point, depending on what your topic is, until you are done.Another thing to consider is what your outline should include. One of the things that make an outline so important is the fact that you will learn something about yourself when you read it. For example, if you have a limited writing knowledge and you write an essay, your outline may help you see where you went wrong and what to work on next. If you write an essay that you think looks well, it will help you see areas of improvement. What about your outline? Is it something that you can work on, or does it have to be final? While it is possible to tweak the outline, there is no way to edit an outline once it is finished. You cannot redo it to change some part of it or to add information. All you can do is sit down and rewrite it over until you are satisfied with the piece that you are about to write.Do you want to add some new ideas to your essay? Perhaps you will write a paragraph describing some events that happened to you when you were younger. Or you may add an extra paragraph or two describing the events that happened in your life at other times. Maybe you need to write a section or two about something that you have learned recently.Your outline should also be one that includes a topic that you will cover in a logical order. You do not want to come up with an idea, write it down, and then have to change it later. Instead, you should get the idea down and then go back and include the information that you had planned to write about, depending on what type of essay you will be writing. If you have more than one paragraph to write, then it is always best to end up with an outline.Of course, you can change the topics and outline throughout the semester as you write the lessons plan. However, before you even sit down to write the essay, you need to make sure that you have an outline, so that you know what you are doing and where you are going.

Book Review on Transforming Mission - 4544 Words

TRANSFORMING MISSION BOOK REVIEW (Paradigm Shifts in the Theology of Mission) (Author: David J. Bosch) This paper intends to analyze the writings of David J. Bosch in his book entitled â€Å"TRANSFORMING MISSION Paradigm Shifts in Theology of Mission:† This book review shall be presented in four (4) parts. First, is an introduction and a statement of the author’s intention for writing the book; secondly, a summary shall be presented about the major insights presented in this book. Thirdly, I shall present some comments and reactions that I had about the author and his writings. Last is the concluding part where I shall present my evaluation about the book in review, as well as my own opinion and understanding of â€Å"mission† as†¦show more content†¦Contemporary scholars all agree on this, that the Great Commission has to be interpreted against the background of Matthew’s gospel as a whole and unless we keep this in mind, we shall fail to understand it. We cannot deduce a universally valid missionary theory from Matthew’s gospel; howeve r, we are challenged to look into the same direction as Matthew does: that using Jesus’ earthy ministry, death and resurrection, the â€Å"road† of mission to the Gentiles is open. In Matthew’s view, Christians find their true identity when they are involved in mission, in communicating to others a new way of life, a new interpretation of reality and of God, and in committing themselves to the liberation and salvation of others. In the case of Luke, his understanding of mission highlights repentance and forgiveness of sins as well as economic justice and peace-making. Luke’s interpretation of Isaiah 61 has been in recent years become very prominent in the debate about a Biblical foundation for mission; most especially in conciliar and liberation theology circles. However, what is more interesting in Luke’s interpretation is that he has left out the vengeance part of Isaiah 61. Luke portrayed Jesus as a God of compassion even to those of the enemies. Hence, it is said that Luke 4:16-21 has, has for practical purposes, replaced Matthew’s â€Å"Great Commission† as the key text not only for understandingShow MoreRelatedCritique on Leadership: A Communication Perspective918 Words   |  4 PagesCritique on Leadership: A Communication Perspective Summary â€Å"Effective leadership is the product of the creation and delivery of inspiring and compelling messages.† (Hackman Johnson, 2009, p. 336). This source is therefore credible despite not having references as may be given in other scholarly articles. Moreover, information received in the article is meant for a wide range of people. This requires use of understandable language. In this regard, the article has used simple language for universal use and understanding. In addition, the article uses facts based on observations made throug hout the recent past. For instance, English language is well known to be utilized in almost every part of the world (Hardwick 1). Romanticism in music essays

Romanticism in music essays Romantic music reflected the profound changes that were taking place in the nineteenth century at every level of human existence. The Industrial Revolution saw the creation of cheaper, more responsive instruments and technical improvements that strongly influenced the sound of Romantic music. Improved manufacturing techniques resulted in the piano acquiring a cast- iron frame and thicker strings which produced a deeper tone. This new piano was capable of effects that were impossible in earlier periods, opening the door to musical exploration. The Romantic Movement in music coincides with a general Romantic movement in all arts. At this period, the arts of literature and painting also began to have an influence on music. While Classicism had a more conservative creativity, with an emphasis on balance, control, proportion, symmetry and restraint, Romanticism was a radical kind of expression. It was a search for the new, the curious, and the adventurous. The nineteenth century strove for a harmony that was more emotional and expressive, more fluent in movement and with greater contrasts. This was achieved through a wider dynamic range, fuller instrumentation, a wealth of dynamic and expression marks, performance directions, frequently varying tempo, a large pitch range, longer and more dramatic melodies, modulation to increasingly remote keys, the use of the pedal, octave doublings, extreme tempos, fuller and more dissonant harmonies, a frequent use of diminished sevenths and expanded formal structures. So, who were the great composers of the Romantic era? Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Wagner, Brahms and Debussy are just a few who have lived on to become a household name. Perhaps one of the more well known Romantic composers is Frederic Francois Chopin. His works include that for piano and orchestra, including 2 piano concertos, four ballads, 3 sonatas, preludes, nocturnes, etudes, mazurkas, wa ...
